History
Barrett Brothers was bought in 1982 by my father Barry Pocock
who had been a butcher since a boy in his fathers shop at Mitcham
in Surrey. The business has gone from strength to strength ever
since with the introduction of the fish department in 1986. At
one stage there were three generations of the Pocock family working
in the business together (my grandfather, father, with myself
and two brothers). I went into partnership with my father in 1986
and Steven became a partner in 1992. Sadly our father Barry Pocock
died in March 1993 and our grandfather a couple of years later.
Steven and myself (Gary) have successfully run the business to
the present day.
